BIOGRAPHY

Name: Marcus “Maximus” Aurelio
MMA Record: 14-4
Fight School: American Top Team

Marcus was born and raised in Fortelza, Brazil. He began his martial arts training at age 18. While in Brazil, Marcus competed with the Gi, and defeated the legendary Royler Gracie.

Marcus moved to the United States to train with the elite American Top Team fight school. He has since focused all his attention on being the top fighter in the world. Marcus’s meteoric rise began with his fight in the ZST Grand Prix Tournament Japan in January of 2004. While at the ZST Grand Prix Tournament, he defeated Imanari by decision, defeated Morkevicius by triangle choke, and defeated Rich Clementi by breaking his nose and forced him to tap out- all in the same night!!!

Marcus solidified his place in the world of mixed martial arts against the #1 Lightweight in the World, Takanori Gomi. Marcus defeated Gomi by putting him to sleep by katagatme choke in the first round! This is something no other fighter has been able to accomplish. Marcus’s defeat of Gomi is an outstanding accomplishment, but by no means the pinnacle of Marcus’s career.

He has fought in Pride Bushido Japan multiple times, ZST-Japan, HOOK n’ SHOOT, KOTC USMMA, WEFC, and Mass Destruction. The best is yet to come. Stay tuned to this website for information on his next fight!
